Something new most mornings

Small experiments with AI

Each morning I pick one idea from the AI world, a new paper or a habit dev teams are picking up, and build a little page you can play with. Nothing to install. Just open one and click around.

  1. Semantic cache, tenant gate

Northwind's support gateway reuses a cached answer when two questions look alike. Without a hard tenant filter, Acme's password reset can be served to Globex.

  2. Rules after compaction

Northwind Logistics lets an ops agent send email and open tickets, and the handbook allows only @northwind.example. After a scripted compact, the agent CCs an outside vendor unless the rule is pinned again or the tool wrapper blocks the domain.

  3. WebMCP storefront

Alpine Outfitters registers catalog and cart tools on the open page, and a scripted shopping agent calls them. Next to it, a DOM scraper reads CSS classes, takes more steps, and returns the wrong shoe after a layout change.

  4. Nestor: nested sparsity

A one-block toy of Nestor (Chu, Pai, and Ma, arXiv:2610.31818). The page uses random routers so you can see the wiring. It is not the trained model.

  5. Structured Outputs Playground

A simulated token-by-token decoder for a support ticket and a vendor invoice. A schema mask blocks illegal JSON as it is written, next to an unconstrained draft that breaks, with a validator on both.

  6. RAG Retrieval Visualizer

A browser page over a fictional dental-group handbook. It chunks the articles, scores them with BM25 and a hashed embedding, and shows which passage a help-desk question actually retrieves.
